Ein and Lazarsfeld study the asymptotic behavior of the syzygies of
projective varieties as the positivity of very ample divisors grow.
I present their results and methods. In the first talk, I briefly review Koszul
cohomologies of projective varieties and secant constructions.
In the second talk, I prove the asymptotic nonvanishing theorem.
